As women, we have come a long way!
These women have created a way to tackle the gap in the beauty industry to cater to their niche clients by enhancing their beauty and appreciating how they are – by using different coverage levels.
Rihana launched Fenty mid-2017, known for its broad range of inclusive skin tones by providing a richer shading for each skin tones – Light, medium, tan and deep. Anyone with a darker skin tone has suffered throughout the decade having to settle with mixing shades hence why the dark-skin collection was anticipated because it has been ignored by the beauty industry.
The beauty industry is undeniably adapting to change in the last couple of years. We thank women such as Bobbi Brown, Huda Kattan (Huda beauty), Rihanna and Kylie Jenner – for changing the beauty game.
Bobbi brown – The advocate for alternative beauty “all women are pretty without makeup, but with the right makeup can be pretty powerful”.
Rihanna – The woman who redefined cosmetics for women of colour.
Kylie Jenner -A young businesswoman, a self-made billionaire, that inspires thousands of women to feel beautiful.
Huda beauty – highly pigmented eyeshadows that pops on every skin tone.
