Alternative Nail Polish Remover

It is officially a Lockdown !! If you didn’t know, all of the beauty shops and our salons are closed. Sadly just like Jada Pinkett Smith some of us weren’t thinking of the beauty essential when stocking up on the toilet roll. Well don’t worry ladies, we’ve got you with an alternative to help you take that polish off.

  1.  Lemon Juice – Yep it sounds weird but lemon juice does the trick. If you have vinegar at home that would make the perfect mixture. The acid in the vinegar and citrus will create a solution that’s to take the polish off. Soak your fingers in the solution for 10-15 minutes before trying to remove it with a cotton pad.
  2. Toothpaste – Everyone has toothpaste at home, pretty sure the government would say it is an essential and yes it can help to take the colour off your nails. All you need is to put a pea-size amount on your nails then use an old toothbrush or a towel to scrub it off. Be careful with your scrubbing, avoid damaging your nails.
  3. Alcohol-based product – Anything with a strong alcohol content would do the trick. If you’ve got rubbing alcohol at home that would be the perfect solution. But for those who don’t, feel free to spray some perfume or even hair-spray they work just about the same.
  4. Hand Sanister- We are using these a lot more recently, with the COVID-19 outbreak. Some of you may have noticed that even before the lockdown, the constant use of hand sanitizer had your polish chipping away slowly. If you apply it directly onto the nail then use a cotton pad to wipe off your nail polish.
